The melting temperature of polyethylene crystals is also affected by the number of branch chains, distributed in the range of 90 ° C to 130 ° C, with the more branches, the lower the melting temperature. Polyethylene single crystals can usually be prepared by dissolving high-density polyethylene in xylene in an environment above 130 degrees Celsius.
